Fenceline Down
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to let you know that ATT has identified some problems with
the Internet line and are scheduling someone to come out work on it.
I’ll let you know as soon as we get some more information on the exact
date of the service visit.
take care,
Don

Hi All,
Thanks for the info on the internet connection from the Fenceline
going down and repair to happen at some later, undetermined time.
Gee. That reminds me of yet another past promise never kept. The DSL
line has been a known problem, going down many times in the past with
long delays in service from ATT. That was to be addressed with a
wireless connection to ATT as a backup. Apparently that was never
implemented? (Please correct me if I’m wrong.)
It seems, our and ConocoPhillips’ desire to make the fenceline system
reliable has not been fulfilled in AT LEAST redundancy for the
internet connection reliability AND the installation of
uninterpretable power supplies. These “no brainer” solutions were
discussed, agreed on, and apparently forgotten about by the refinery.
I sure hope that those handling the expansion project and implementing
the impact mitigations that were agreed to are doing a better job. I
think that this needs to be investigated.
Another promise made at the last meeting of the fenceline working
group was that the refinery was to mail those “Stop Making Scents”
postcards out to Crockett residents to notify them of the Odor
Training event to happen Wed. night at 7:00PM at the Crockett
Community Center. Has anybody in Crockett seen them? It seems that
refinery wants to spend their money on the training but doesn’t want
any attendance (but of course I might be wrong).
